Founded in 2011, Black Vines is the country's longest-standing Black wine festival and premier curator of Black wine and culture experiences. Fern A. Stroud, a Berkeley native and former Silicon Valley technology professional, created Black Vines to showcase Black winemakers who often lack visibility in the industry. Through signature events like the annual festival, Summer Vines, and Black Wine Wednesday series, Black Vines builds community while providing what Fern calls "JaaS - Joy as a Service™" with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility within the wine industry.
